Investment Category
You must make a direct investment in China, and the investment situation must be stable for three consecutive years with good tax records. The actual paid-in capital for the investment must meet one of the following criteria:
Invest a combined total of 500,000 USD or more in industries encouraged by the "Catalogue for the Guidance of Foreign Investment" issued by the Chinese government.
Invest a combined total of 500,000 USD or more in western regions of China or in counties that are national poverty alleviation and development work priorities.
Invest a combined total of 1,000,000 USD or more in central regions of China.
Invest a combined total of 2,000,000 USD or more in China.
Employment Category
You must hold a position such as deputy general manager, deputy factory director, or above, or have a senior professional title like associate professor, associate researcher, or above, and enjoy the same treatment. You should have been continuously employed for four years, with a cumulative residence in China of no less than three years during these four years, and have a good tax record.
The employing unit should meet one of the following conditions:
A department of the State Council or an institution affiliated with the people's government of a province.
A key university.
An enterprise or institution undertaking national key projects or major scientific research projects.
A high-tech enterprise, an encouraged foreign-invested enterprise, a foreign-invested advanced technology enterprise, or a foreign-invested export-oriented enterprise.
Special Contribution Category
You must have made significant and outstanding contributions to China or be a person of special need to the country.
This includes individuals who have made major and outstanding contributions to China's economic development and social progress, as well as world-class talents, individuals with special skills, and well-known figures of significant value to the country.
Family Reunification Category
Spouse Reunification:
You are the spouse of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner who has obtained permanent residence in China. The marriage must have lasted for five years, and you must have continuously resided in China for five years, with no less than nine months of residence in China each year, and have a stable source of living and accommodation.
Minor Children Reunification:
You are an unmarried minor child under the age of 18, seeking to reunite with your parents.
Elderly Relative Reunification:
You are a foreigner aged 60 or above, with no direct relatives abroad, seeking to reunite with your direct relatives in China. You must have continuously resided in China for five years, with no less than nine months of residence in China each year, and have a stable source of living and accommodation.
In addition to meeting the above conditions, you must also comply with Chinese laws, be in good health, and have no criminal record.
To apply for a Chinese Green Card, you will need to submit the following documents:
Completed Application Form: Fill out the "Application Form for Permanent Residence in China" truthfully.
Valid Passport or Equivalent Document: Provide a valid foreign passport or a document that can serve as a passport.
Health Certificate: Obtain a health certificate issued by a government-designated health quarantine department in China or a foreign medical institution certified by a Chinese embassy or consulate.
Criminal Record Certificate: Submit a criminal record certificate from your home country, which must be certified by a Chinese embassy or consulate.
Recent Photographs: Provide four 2-inch recent正面免冠彩色照片(front-facing, bareheaded color photos).
