According to Article 33 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the registration items of foreigners' residence permit include: the holder's name, gender, date of birth, reason of residence, term of residence, date of issuance, place, number of passport or other international travel documents, etc. When the above registration items are changed, foreigners need to change the change of residence permit inadvance.
What specific circumstances need to be changed?
1. If the residence permit holder changes, he / she shall apply for anew residence permit to the residence permit issuing authority within10 days.
2. If the holder of the residence permit's address, university, officeholding or employment unit is changed, he shall apply to the residence permit issuing authority for the change within 10 days.
3. Those who move from one city to another may apply for change to theexit-entry administration agency of the public security organ of the place of migration or the place where they are moved.

1. Submit the original valid passport and residence permit for examination (those who have applied for the new passport must also submit the original old passport);

3. Submit the relevant certification materials for the change of the residence registration items:
(1) If the residential address is changed, the temporary accommodation registration form for overseas personnel shall be updated first;
(2) If the name, passport number and other relevant passport information page information are changed, the temporary accommodation registration form of overseas personnel shall be updated first, andthe original and photo copy of the change certificate issued by the passport issuing authority shall be submitted;
