Job Summary

1.Responsible for implementing and managing students' daily life and educational work within the dormitory.

2.Ensure the safety and well-being of students.

3.Promote the implementation of the IB educational philosophy and the house-based education system.

4.Actively foster a "home" culture centered around respect and care in an all-English environment.

5.Coordinate the connection between the teaching area and the dormitory area, and organize a variety of engaging activities.

6.Arrange matters related to students staying over the weekend.

7.Work hours are from 1pm to 10pm (with a one-hour dinner break, synchronized with school meal times).


Job Responsibility

1.Student Safety and Education

- Ensure the safety of students both in the teaching and dormitory areas, and address any issues that arise in a timely manner.

- Implement personalized education and counseling based on the IB educational philosophy, focusing on students' mental health and developmental needs.

2.Cultural Development

- Create a dormitory culture centered around respect and care, fostering a "home" environment with full English immersion.

- Implement the IB educational philosophy within the dormitory, enhancing students' international perspectives and global awareness

3.House-Based Management

- Coordinate the effective integration of the teaching area and the dormitory area with a house-based approach.

- Organize and conduct a variety of extracurricular activities to enhance students' sense of collective honor and teamwork.

4.Activity Organization

- Regularly plan and execute entertainment and educational activities within the dormitory to improve students' extracurricular life quality.

- Design and organize activities based on students' interests and needs, encouraging active participation.

5.Weekend Boarding Arrangements

- Manage the accommodation, meals, and activity plans for students staying over the weekend.

- Ensure smooth operation of safety and management tasks during weekend stays.

6.Teaching Support

- Assist with management and coordination in the teaching area during afternoon teaching hours.

- Maintain teaching order, communicate with teachers, and ensure the smooth conduct of teaching activities.

- Participate in English department meeting and school PD.

- Complete other tasks assigned by leadership


Qualifications

1.Education, experience and qualifications

- Citizens from English-speaking countries (such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, etc.).

- Bachelor’s degree or higher; degrees in education, psychology, or related fields are preferred.

- Previous experience in dormitory management or similar roles are preferred.

2.Competence and skill requirements (language, computer, communication, leadership, qualification

- Strong communication and organizational coordination skills.

- Ability to adapt to cross-cultural environments.

- Positive work attitude and team spirit.

- Understanding of and alignment with the IB educational 

- Possession of first aid-related 

certifications (such as CPR or First Aid certification) is preferred
